American actor and UNITED24 ambassador Liev Schreiber has commented on Russia’s attack on the settlement of Komyshuvakha in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, where Russian forces targeted a humanitarian aid distribution center. He described the attacks as a deliberate strategy of terror and called on the international community not to abandon Ukraine.
When did the tragedy happen?
The tragedy occurred on November 2, 2026. Russian forces carried out several airstrikes on a school building that local residents were using to receive humanitarian aid and as a shelter.
After the first strike, people tried to take cover from the attack. However, Russian aircraft launched another attack shortly afterward. Civilians sheltering inside the building were among those hit, along with people who had arrived to help the victims.
As of November 5, the death toll had risen to 42. Search and rescue operations are ongoing, and dozens of people may still be trapped under the rubble.
The actor’s reaction
In his statement, Liev Schreiber highlighted the nature of Russian attacks, which threaten not only civilians but also rescue workers and humanitarian personnel.
The actor said that this “is a deliberate strategy of terror.”
Schreiber also stressed that such strikes demonstrate the dangers Ukrainians face every day, as well as the risks faced by those trying to help the victims.
In his view, the international community must recognize the scale of this threat and continue supporting Ukraine, especially at this critical moment.
Liev Schreiber has supported Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion. He is an ambassador for the UNITED24 fundraising platform, takes part in charitable initiatives, and helps draw international attention to the consequences of the war.

Mr. Schreiber has more decency in his pinky than the entire Trump/maga gang have together.
