Defense forces inflicted losses on the Russians in the Kursk region. Missile forces and artillery struck the command post of the Kursk group of forces in this Russian region on January 31.

It was located in the city of Rylsk. Details were reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Today, units of the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine inflicted fire damage on the command post of the Kursk group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces in the city of Rylsk, Kursk Region. As a result of a highly accurate and coordinated strike, the enemy’s command post was destroyed,” the message says.

The General Staff added that the aforementioned operation is part of a systematic effort to destroy enemy command posts, which aims to deprive Russia of the ability to effectively coordinate combat operations and logistics.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to inflict losses on the occupation forces, destroying their control system and reducing their offensive potential. Operations to destroy enemy command posts will continue until the complete cessation of Russian aggression against Ukraine. More to come,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.

In Rylsk public forums, people wrote after 08:40 Kyiv time that the city and district were “very noisy.” Ten minutes after the first reports, they announced the alleged shooting down of five ATACMS missiles. And local residents hinted in their comments that some of the missiles had reached their targets.

As a reminder, earlier the General Staff confirmed a strike on a refinery in the Volgograd region.

The plant, which works for the Russian occupation army and is one of the ten largest oil refineries in the Russian Federation, was hit by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate on the night of January 31.

After the arrivals, a glow was visible over the refinery.
