In the Netherlands, in the village of Herwijnen, construction has begun on another military radar station to detect drones.

As Censor.NET informs , this is stated in a letter from the acting Secretary of State of the Dutch Ministry of Defense to parliament, NOS reports .
Construction should begin “immediately,” Dutch State Secretary for Defense Gijs Tuinman said in a letter to parliament.
“In the village of Herwijnen, in the province of Gelderland, construction of a military radar station is starting immediately… This is currently taking place without permission from the municipality of West-Betuwe to widen the access road to the site,” the report said.
Dutch politicians have been discussing building a radar in the settlement for years, but locals are opposed, as the village already has a radar from the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI).
“The need to build a radar installation in Herwijnen is urgent. Recent incidents, such as the violation of Polish airspace, demonstrate that it is extremely important to strengthen our air defense capabilities as soon as possible,” he stressed and expressed hope that the local authorities would meet the government.
It is noted that the Netherlands has two radar installations for airspace surveillance and drone detection. One is located in Wier (Friesland) and the other (temporary) radar installation is in Nieuw-Milligen. The new radar installation in Herwijnen will be the second permanent observation point for the airspace of the Netherlands. Джерело: https://censor.net/ua/n3577445
