Collapsed in the air: footage of the An-22 crash in Russia has emerged (video)

The plane began to break into two parts as it fell.

On December 9, an An-22 military transport plane crashed in the Ivanovo region of Russia , killing the entire crew of 7 people.

A week later, videos of the plane crash appeared online. According to the Mash news channel , they were filmed by cameras in a cottage village in the suburbs of Ivanovo.

The video shows that the plane began to fall into two parts right in the air as it fell.

It fell into the Uvodskoye Reservoir and sank. Investigators found various fragments of the plane on land nearby.

Previously, the cause of the crash was poor-quality repairs, which caused the steering gears to fail – they could have been assembled incorrectly or poorly maintained.

However, later the press service of the Rostec state corporation stated that the An-22 was not serviced before its last flight.
