Weapons of War
Winter in Ukraine is not about romance. It is about cold trenches, sub-zero temperatures, exhaustion, constant attacks and fighting for your life. In a new video, operator Starsky explains what the front line looks like in winter, how Ukrainian defenders live, how they keep warm in trenches and dugouts, how logistics work under fire, and why even a cup of hot tea can be a matter of survival. The episode also covers how civilians prepare for blackouts, how “points of invincibility” work, the role of international aid, and why global support is critically important in winter. Find out how Ukrainians are holding out during the most difficult season of the war and why winter will not break our spirit.

Seven more little Ukrainians returned home, – the ombudsman
“Every story is a difficult path, every return is the efforts of many people,” Dmytro Lubinets said.
Another brilliant post from OS.
I did not know it went down to -35C in the fighting area. You really need specialist clothing for that. The Swedes make some very good stuff. Unfortunately it is very heavy to wear and restricts your movement.
In the summer, it can be hotter than the Mediterranean in some parts of Ukraine, so that’s another problem. Blackflies bite in the day and mosquitoes take over the biting at night.
Death to the putinaZis.
The Canadians recently sent a batch of Winter gear which I’m sure was warmly welcomed.
