In comments on the CPPCC sidelines, the diplomat reiterated that Ukrainian peace cannot be determined only by US and Russia.
China’s special envoy for European affairs Lu Shaye said he was “appalled” by the way President Donald Trump had treated American allies in Europe, adding that a peace deal for Ukraine should not be determined only by the US and Russia.
“When you look at how the Trump administration has implemented a brazen and domineering policy towards Europe, treating its allies in this way, honestly, from a European perspective, it’s quite appalling,” he said on Wednesday.
“I believe European friends should reflect on this and compare the Trump administration’s policies with those of the Chinese government. In doing so, they will see that China’s diplomatic approach emphasises peace, friendship, goodwill and win-win cooperation”.
Lu made the remarks on the sidelines of a panel discussion with other senior diplomats during the annual session of top advisory body the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Beijing.
He acknowledged the discussions between the US and Russia aimed at resolving the crisis, but stressed that any peace process must involve recognition and participation from all relevant parties, including European nations.
“Various proposed solutions should be subject to equal discussion, rather than being dictated by a select few,” he said.

Everything about the Trump administration is appalling. There is nothing positive to be seen or heard from this circus show, up to now.

Yeah, Chinese are afraid trumpf and putler might make an alliance behind their back. They don’t give a shit about Europe or Ukraine. If they love peace so much they should have condemned the ruzzian invasion from day 1. Also they should stop threaten Taiwan daily with war. And they should stop their encroachment in East Asia and Pacific.

China is going to position it’s self to fill the void Trump is pointlessly creating.
So what’s the math on alienating a 18 trillion dollar economy in favor of a Maybe 2.2 trillion economy?
Specially since Russia’s only attraction is some natural resources that can be found elsewhere.
