Bucha to build biggest mall in Kyiv Oblast on site destroyed by invading Russians — photos

In a sign of its massive transformation since suffering from the horrors of the Russian invaders, Ukraine’s Bucha will finish a new shopping center by the end of 2024 on the site of one destroyed by the Russians, said Bucha Mayor Anatoly Fedoruk, on Facebook.

The new Bucha Gallery Epicentr is a perfect example of Ukraine’s invincibility, he said.

At 97,000 square meters (more than one million square feet), the new shopping and entertainment center will become the largest in Kyiv Oblast.

“This is what the new Bucha Gallery Epicenter will look like on the site of the one destroyed by Russians on Nove Shosse Street in Bucha, which will be completed by the end of this year,” said Fedoruk.

“First of all, some statistics: this will create more than 600 jobs for Bucha residents and more than 30 million in taxes to the local budget annually.”

“The new Epicenter will be a grandiose project in Bucha,” he added.

“This is another example of revival, because the enemy cannot break us.”

  1. Excellent news. This was my local shopping mall until the scum invaded. Now it looks like it will be better than ever. Work has already started on the mall, my contacts back in Ukraine keep me informed on the progress, and tell the most of the infrastructure is now in place.

    • A wonderful show of confidence by the directors and shareholders of Epicentr. Let’s hope it inspires many other investors.
There is hard-nosed business sense here too. They are active in the home improvements market, which is likely to be very buoyant for the foreseeable future.
      Air defence must be prioritized.
