The Ukrainian president expressed outrage that Trump is helping Putin earn additional funds for the war against Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy considers US President Donald Trump’s actions toward Ukraine unfair and uncooperative due to his agreement with war instigator Vladimir Putin to sell millions of tons of Russian diesel fuel to global markets. According to a UNIAN correspondent, Zelenskyy told reporters this in a WhatsApp voice message.

The head of state recalled that the Ukrainian negotiating team is currently in Florida on a two-day visit to negotiate with President Donald Trump’s American team “to end this terrible war, or at least to establish a ceasefire.”

According to the Ukrainian President, an energy ceasefire could be the beginning.

“This is very important for our people, for our families. And at this very moment, as our team negotiates with the American team in Florida, the President of the United States of America is negotiating with the leader of the Kremlin, the leader of this war, the leader of this aggression,” Zelenskyy noted.

In this regard, as the Ukrainian president emphasizes, Trump’s current agreement with Putin, whereby America is giving Russia the opportunity to export diesel fuel, is an opportunity for Russia to earn additional funds for the war against Ukraine.

“This is additional money for this suffering against us, of course. This only fuels Putin and enables him to wage even more war. And at this very moment, when we’re talking about peace, America is allowing Russia to export diesel fuel. It’s worth, I don’t know, millions, billions… In any case, all this is being used for the war against the people, against Ukraine, against all of us,” Zelenskyy stated.

Thus, the President of Ukraine emphasizes:

“I believe our team is being used simply as a smokescreen—and that’s definitely unfair, that’s definitely not a partnership, and, in my view, it’s a weak decision, unfortunately. Unfortunately, it’s a weak decision by strong partners,” Zelenskyy said.
