Commenting on the losses on the Ukrainian side, the head of state said that at least 50,000 Ukrainian servicemen were killed on the battlefield. Another 400,000 were wounded, and a significant number of defenders remain missing.

Despite the heavy fighting and challenges on the front line, the strategic initiative is not in Russia’s hands, Zelensky said. “We are not losing, and the Russians are not winning,” the head of state emphasized.
