Ukraine has developed a heavy underwater drone, SEA TRIDENT, designed to strike strategic targets.

As reported by Censor.NET , the device was presented by the Ukrainian company Global Mark at the Eurosatory international exhibition in Paris.

New naval vehicle for special operations

The drone is designed to perform maritime operations with a high level of autonomy and low visibility.

The drone can be used for strike missions, logistics and cargo delivery, as well as to intercept other underwater unmanned systems.

Technical capabilities and characteristics

SEA TRIDENT is capable of delivering payloads of up to 1,000 kg to strategic targets. Its range is up to 2,000 miles, allowing it to carry out long-duration missions.

The drone has a maximum speed of 10 knots (18.5 km/h), a cruising speed of 6 knots (11 km/h). The operating depth of immersion is up to 60 meters.

The mass of the device is 10,000 kg, and its dimensions are 10,000 × 2,000 × 1,500 mm. The drone is equipped with autonomous navigation systems and is capable of operating over long distances.

“The device is adapted for maritime operations that require complete autonomy and a low level of visibility,” the material states.
