Trump also acknowledged that Putin “wants to go all the way.”
US President Donald Trump commented on the possibility of further arms supplies to Ukraine . Responding to a reporter’s question, he confirmed that the United States will continue to cooperate with Ukraine on providing it with weapons and ammunition, including Patriot systems.
“They’re going to need them (Patriots) for defense. I don’t want to see people getting killed… They’re going to need something because they’re getting hit pretty hard… Yes, we can look into it,” Trump stressed, answering the question of whether the US would supply additional systems to Ukraine.
He noted that he discussed this topic in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on July 4.
“We have helped them and will continue to help them. The situation is quite difficult. We will see what happens next,” Trump said.
He also recalled that he was extremely dissatisfied with a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
“It seems like he wants to go all the way and just kill people. I’m not happy with that,” Trump said.
