In a post, Trump expressed outrage that “nothing is being done” against his opponents.

US President Donald Trump mistakenly posted a message on the social media platform TruthSocial calling for the prosecution of his opponents. A US administration official told  NBC News that the message was intended for Attorney General Pam Bondi and was intended as a private message.

According to the publication’s source, Trump was surprised to learn that he had indeed posted the message on his Truth Social account. However, he wasn’t upset and decided to brush it off.

The publication shared that in a long post on September 20, Trump addressed Bondi and expressed outrage that “nothing is being done” against his opponents.

“What about Comey, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, Letitia James? They’re all guilty… but nothing’s been done. They impeached and indicted me twice,” the US president wrote in a social media post, referring to former FBI Director James Comey, Senator Adam Schiff, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.

Journalists recalled that Comey and James had already been indicted by the US Department of Justice. Bondi also hired a “special counsel” to investigate mortgage fraud allegations against James and Schiff.Read also:

The publication noted that the prosecution and investigation of Trump’s opponents has raised concerns among legal experts and critics about his use of the Justice Department for potential retaliation and the damage this could cause to the rule of law.

    • Even if there is any lawfare, it has paled in comparison to what the Antifa-types already did to Trump. That’s why all the appellate judges have eventually tossed out the cases after they looked into them. But some will never let logic or law get in the way of their ideology.

      • “Even if there is any lawfare”

There’s no question about that – the demented old fool publicly posted his demand to Bondi saying to persecute James Comey, Letitia James, and Adam Schiff (which the regime later admitted was supposed to be a private message).

        “Antifa-types”

Antifa is short for anti-fascist. The US fought fascists in a world war. “Antifa-types” means “patriotic Americans” – we should all be opposed to fascism.

“That’s why all the appellate judges have eventually tossed out the cases after they looked into them.”

        That’s far from true.

        • I am a fascist. But not a racist naZi, not pro-ruSSia and respect all different opinions and don’t choose my friends by their political views.

Hunting down political opponents because of their views is deeply undemocratic to begin with. Fascists, anti-fascists, left, right, anglo, black, asian, latino… all have their place in America. PreZidents controlled by our enemies have no place in the land of the free. 🎃

        • Here you go…
Here is a breakdown of the current status of Trump’s criminal and key civil cases:
          Criminal cases
          Federal election interference case
Charges: Donald Trump faced federal charges for his actions related to the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol and attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Outcome: After Trump won the 2024 presidential election, the Department of Justice dropped the case, citing the policy against prosecuting a sitting president.
          Federal classified documents case
Charges: This case involved Trump’s alleged mishandling of classified documents after he left office.
Outcome: The case was dismissed by a federal judge in July 2024. Following Trump’s election win, the Department of Justice chose not to proceed with its appeal.
          New York hush-money case
Charges: A jury found Trump guilty in May 2024 on 34 felony counts of falsifying business records.
Outcome: The conviction has not been overturned. In January 2025, a judge issued an unconditional discharge, meaning no jail time, fines, or probation were imposed. Trump’s legal team has filed an appeal.
          Georgia election interference case
Charges: Trump was indicted in Fulton County, Georgia, on state charges related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election results in that state.
Outcome: Several counts were dismissed by a judge in 2024. The case is currently on hold. In December 2024, the Georgia Court of Appeals disqualified District Attorney Fani Willis from prosecuting the case. It is yet to be determined if another prosecutor will take up the case.
          Civil case
          New York civil fraud case
Context: This was not a criminal case, but a civil one brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
Outcome: In August 2025, a New York appeals court threw out the massive financial penalty imposed by the lower court, though it upheld the finding that Trump had engaged in fraud.

By the way, this is from AI, not MSNBC where many people like you un-educate themselves.

          • You wrote, “all the appellate judges have eventually tossed out the cases after they looked into them” – that suggests that the cases were dismissed because they lacked merit. That implication is what I was referring to as being “far from true”.

I agree that cases were dismissed because of DOJ policy against prosecuting a sitting president, even though trumpkov was guilty as hell. The Special Counsel’s final report says Trump would have been convicted of election interference if he hadn’t won:

Smith wrote in his report that his office began its prosecution of Trump because it had enough evidence against him, that “[b]ut for Mr. Trump’s election and imminent return to the Presidency, the Office assessed that the admissible evidence was sufficient to obtain and sustain a conviction at trial.”

      • Antifa means anti-fascist.
And, seeing what the felon has done to the Supreme Court, it does not make me wonder when lower courts are also not upholding our laws as they should.
Taco is turning our country into a banana republic. I think I’ve mentioned that a dozen or so times already.

  1. There’s the “lawfare” that some here were bleating about.

trumpkov forced out U.S. Attorney Erik Siebert after he refused to bring unfounded charges due to a lack of evidence. trump then picked Lindsey Halligan, a former lawyer of his, as an acting prosecutor. Hers was the only signature on the indictment – nobody else in the 300-member office would put their name on the phony charges.

Halligan was most recently a senior associate staff secretary at the White House, and had never served as a prosecutor before trumpkov named her to the post.
