They said that Trump would continue to seek leverage and conditions to bring both sides to the negotiating table.

US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker said that the Russian threat to the West has been exaggerated . But, according to him, despite all the statements by European and NATO leaders about Russia’s aggressive plans and actions, he is rather optimistic.

“I think the Russian threat is sometimes exaggerated. They haven’t had much success. Ukraine has been able to take back territory, and that, to me, is an indication of Russia’s weakness… Their economy is faltering, and I think it’s going to be difficult for them to continue the war. President Trump will continue to look for leverage and conditions to bring both sides down and broker an end to the war,” he told Fox Business .

Whitaker also commented on the recent Russian drone attack on Poland. He believes that if it was a test, NATO passed it.

“We responded immediately by shooting down the drones and sending a strong signal. We are deploying additional assets in Poland and on the eastern flank… We need to continue working on multi-level and inexpensive air defense, because shooting down decoy drones with multi-million dollar missiles is ineffective,” the ambassador added.

Russian attack on Poland

CNN previously reported that despite the threatening rhetoric about Moscow’s aggressive behavior, NATO is divided on what the Russian drone incursion into Poland actually was. There are good reasons to believe the incident was an accident, not a deliberate act.

Two weeks ago TACO berated Zelensky calling him a fool for starting a war against much larger opposition. Do these clowns even know what they say from day to day?
