As the press service of the SBU reported , a successful drone strike was carried out on the military airfields “Saki” and “Gvardiyske” in the territory of the Crimea.

In particular, seven hangars for storing aviation equipment were hit at the Saki airfield, which housed Su-30SM, Su-30, and Su-24 fighter jets and front-line bombers.

According to preliminary information, at least seven aircraft were destroyed or damaged.

“This is the second SBU strike on the Saki airfield this week,” the SBU emphasizes.

In addition, two hangars were hit at the Gvardiyske military airfield, which housed the Shahed UAV and aviation equipment. The SBU emphasizes that the Saki and Gvardiyske military airfields are among the key air bases of the Russian occupation forces on the peninsula.

“The SBU continues to fulfill the tasks set by the President of Ukraine and systematically reduce Russia’s military potential. Each of our special operations is minus enemy aviation, logistics, warehouses, equipment and infrastructure that ensure Russian aggression. We will continue to put maximum pressure on the enemy both on the front line and in the deep rear, depriving him of the opportunity to wage war against Ukraine,” emphasized SBU Head Yevheniy Khmara.
