This is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical plants in Russia.

For the second time in the past seven days, SBU drones have flown to Bashkortostan and struck the Gazprom Neftekhim-Salavat oil refining complex . UNIAN was informed about this by sources in the Security Service.
It is noted that this is one of the largest oil refining and petrochemical plants in the Russian Federation. It produces 150 types of products: motor gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, bitumen, polyethylene. The distance from the territory of Ukraine to the target is about 1,400 kilometers.
According to the interlocutor, as a result of several hits by drones of the Central Operational Command “A” of the SBU, a fire broke out on the territory of the plant: a huge column of black smoke rose into the air.
“The SBU continues to launch targeted deep strikes on facilities that finance the war against our state. The “cotton” season at Russian refineries is in full swing. The gas station country must finally realize that aggression against Ukraine is costing it very dearly,” an informed source in the SBU reported.
Attack on oil refinery in Bashkortostan
The attack was also confirmed by the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov.
“Gazprom Neftokhim Salavat has suffered another terrorist attack by drones. We are determining the extent of the damage. All emergency services are working on the scene, we are taking measures to extinguish the fire,” he wrote.
Previous attack on the factory
As UNIAN reported, on September 18, long-range SBU drones staged a loud “bombardment” at Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat LLC.
The drones hit the ELOU-AVT-4 unit , the heart of the plant. It is the unit that first cleans oil from water and salts, after which it can be converted into gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and fuel oil. There was a strong fire on the plant’s territory and a column of black smoke was rising. The fact that the refinery was damaged was also confirmed by representatives of the Bashkortostan authorities.
