The Russian port of Novorossiysk has resumed loading oil following a two-day suspension caused by a missile strike and drone attack from Ukraine, two oil industry sources told Reuters .
It is noted that the port of Novorossiysk and the neighboring terminal of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium temporarily suspended oil exports on November 14, which is equivalent to 2.2 million barrels per day, or 2% of global supplies.
The agency added that LSEG data indicates that two tankers, the Suezmax Arlan and the Aframax Rodos, are already loading oil at the berths of the port of Novorossiysk.
Journalists noted that Novorossiysk accounts for approximately one-fifth of Russia’s oil exports. Experts predict that a prolonged shutdown of its operations would necessitate the closure of oil wells in Western Siberia, significantly reducing the volume of oil Russia supplies to global markets.Read also:
The agency emphasized that the strike on the port of Novorossiysk, Russia’s largest export hub in the Black Sea, was Ukraine’s most destructive attack on Russia’s key oil infrastructure in the region.

Who do these oil industry sources work for? I very much doubt any oil tanker would go within 100km of this port after the attack.
