Traffic on the roadway of the Pechenezhskaya Dam has been stopped.
Russian occupiers attacked the Pechenezhskoye Reservoir dam in the Kharkiv region. This was reported by Oleksandr Gusarov, head of the Pechenezhskoye rural military administration, on Telegram .
According to him, as of 12:00 PM on December 7, 2025, traffic on the Pechenezhskaya Dam roadway has been suspended. Gusarov urged everyone to remain calm and stay tuned for further announcements.
The Kharkiv Oblast Infrastructure Recovery and Development Service announced on Facebook the temporary closure of two regional roads:
- T-21-11 Chuguev – Pechenegi – Velykyi Burluk near the village of Pechenegi;
- T-21-04 Kharkov – Vovchansk – Chugunovka checkpoint near the village of Stary Saltov.
The agency explained that the restrictions were imposed due to enemy shelling, which caused dangerous damage to road infrastructure and made safe passage impossible. Specialists are working on the scene, and surveys and emergency restoration efforts are ongoing.
To ensure traffic flow, a detour route has been organised: Chuguev – Korobochkino – Lebyazhye – Primorskoye – Khotomlya – Volchansk.

Telegram channels shared photos and videos of the collapsed Pechenezhskaya Dam. The Kharkiv life/Kharkiv channel published a video showing entire spans of the bridge collapsed into the river. It also reported one fatality. There is no official confirmation of this information yet.
“The crossing in Staryi Saltiv was destroyed after landing. One person was killed,” the statement said.

Previous attacks on the bridge
As UNIAN reported, this is not the first time that Russian occupiers have destroyed this crossing.
In particular, on November 14, 2022, it was reported that a boat crossing was organized on the Pechenezhskoye Reservoir in Staryi Saltiv (Kharkiv Oblast), since the bridge across the river was destroyed .
