The Russians launched a missile strike on a humanitarian mission engaged in demining in the Chernihiv region, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv city military administration, reported this on his Telegram channel .

Updated at 4:20 p.m.  According to the head of the MVA, as of now, two people are known to have died and three injured.

According to the head of the Chernihiv OAV, Vyacheslav Chaus, the Russians targeted the workers of the humanitarian demining mission “Danish Refugee Council”. 

It was previously reported that one person was killed and two others were injured as a result of the attack. 

First, Bryzhynskyi stated that explosions were recorded within the city limits. Then he clarified that a missile hit the territory of the enterprise was recorded, and that information about the injured was being verified.

“Information has been clarified: a rocket hit near one of the checkpoints. Information on the injured is being clarified,” Bryzhinsky wrote later.

Later, the head of the MVA reported that the missile strike was carried out in the area of ​​the checkpoint at the entrance to the settlement of Novoselivka.

“Information on casualties: as of now, one person has died, two have been injured,” he said.

Bryzhinsky then wrote that the missile strike was carried out “on employees of the humanitarian demining mission who were carrying out demining work in the area.”
