BREAKING NEWS: Russians are purposefully attacking civilian trains, – Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia Pertsovsky

Russia has recently intensified its attacks on Ukrainian railways. It is purposefully destroying civilian trains and “hunting for locomotives.”

As Censor.NET reports , this was stated by  the Chairman of the Board of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Oleksandr Pertsovsky on Facebook.

“This week included for us farewell to the fallen railway workers, visits to the injured in hospitals, new and new strikes, and constant work on strengthening defense measures. For the enemy, this week is constant boasting about “destroying the logistical routes of supplying troops.”

“We responsibly assure and openly show any international specialists: all the recent intensified attacks on the railway have been exclusively on civilian trains carrying exclusively civilian cargo. Mostly, it has been on trains with coal. It is becoming obvious: the enemy is trying to finish off our coal industry, which continues to feed thousands and thousands of families, and is bleeding the Donetsk region dry,” Pertsovsky noted.

He added that previously the focus of the enemy’s attacks was the railway infrastructure. However, Ukrainian railway workers have proven that this has no consequences, as they are rebuilding as quickly as possible and are not stopping.

“Now the enemy has essentially launched a real “locomotive hunt.” Just as in the Kherson, Sumy, and Donetsk regions they are hunting for ambulances or evacuation buses – the inhumans began to chase diesel and electric locomotives, destroying them, knowing full well that there are people inside. They are using specially designed drones with video guidance by a UAV operator with an increased charge.

“The work algorithms have been revised, several warning lines have been deployed. Here – without details, but now we already have timely notified, withdrawn from strikes and rescued brigades. Work is in full swing 24/7, in order to still be one step ahead of the enemy. First of all – everything to save people, and then – steps to protect equipment, because we have to work, and we have to ensure movement despite everything.
I am grateful to the many specialists who joined the work to strengthen protection, I am grateful to the shippers with whom we are working on the operational financing of the necessary forces and means,” Pertsovsky emphasized.
