The Russian drones that flew into Poland on the night of September 10 were moving towards the NATO base in Rzeszow – the main hub for Western military supplies to Ukraine.

According to NATO estimates, the drones that flew into Polish airspace last night from Belarus were equipped with explosive charges.

At least five of them targeted a logistics hub in Rzeszow, which is a key hub for Western arms supplies to Ukraine.

This direction was deliberately covered by the most modern NATO fighters – the F-35 of the Dutch Air Force, which shot down most of the drones.

As Der Spiegel adds, this act fits into Putin’s strategy of small injections: through small provocations, he tests the West’s defenses and weighs how far he can go.

According to the Welt newspaper, there is growing evidence that the drones did not arrive in Poland by accident. Another argument in favor of this version, according to the newspaper, may be the fact that on Wednesday morning two more drones entered Lithuanian airspace, which was not previously reported.

Prime Minister Tusk said that 19 targets flew into Poland, 4 UAVs were shot down .

The Russian Defense Ministry, in turn, claims that the Russian army did not plan to target Polish facilities. However, they did not deny the possibility of drones flying into Polish territory.

A number of foreign diplomats and senior NATO officials are reacting to the incident, including Alliance Secretary General Mark Rutte .
