BREAKING NEWS: Russia shot down its own plane over Crimea during an air strike last night, Pletenchuk said.

A Navy spokesman noted ironically that it wasn’t just the oil depot that was on fire on Friday night.

Russian troops shot down their own plane while repelling drones in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea .

Ukrainian Naval Forces spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk stated this on the Apostrophe TV channel. He noted that the oil depot in Crimea was not the only place ablaze due to Ukrainian drone strikes.

“It’s still burning there. But today, another place has caught fire, too. They fought off Ukrainian attacks so hard that they were able to shoot down their own plane over Crimea. The fight continues,” Pletenchuk said.

When the journalist asked if there were any details on this plane, Pletenchuk joked. “The parts are currently being collected in Crimea,” he said.

According to him, based on information in Crimea, the enemy’s fuel supply will be even lower, as a second oil depot has caught fire. “Let’s hope that this work will continue at the same pace on our side in Crimea in the future,” the Ukrainian Navy representative emphasized.
