Sobyanin reported that air defense forces destroyed 32 drones flying toward Moscow.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported that air defense forces have shot down 32 drones en route to Moscow since the evening of Wednesday, December 10. A thermal power plant in Russia’s Smolensk region was also damaged, according to the Telegram channel Mash .

Although Sobyanin did not provide details about the aftermath of the attacks, he noted that “emergency services are working at the site of the fallen debris.” Residents of Zelenograd, Ramenskoye, and Sergiev Posad reported explosions.

Due to the drone attack, Moscow airports such as Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, and Zhukovsky were closed to incoming and outgoing flights for over seven hours. More than 130 flights were canceled, delayed, or diverted to other airports.

In the Smolensk region, attack drones struck the Dorogobuzh Thermal Power Plant. The Exilenova+ Telegram channel reported that this combined heat and power plant has an electrical capacity of approximately 90 MW and a thermal output of over 240 Gcal/hour. It supplies power to industrial facilities and residential infrastructure in the region.
