Russia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, said that a simple ceasefire is “not enough” for Russia to end the war against Ukraine.

According to him, Russia is “in principle” ready to consider the possibility of establishing a ceasefire with Ukraine, but “provided there are counter-steps from the other side.”
Nebenzia claims that for the duration of the ceasefire, Western countries should supposedly stop supplying weapons to the “Kyiv regime”, and Ukraine should stop mobilization.
