In two districts of the capital, large fires broke out in non-residential areas.

In the early morning, the occupiers launched  a missile strike on Kyiv . A series of powerful explosions rocked the city, causing fires to break out in the Darnytskyi and Desnyanskyi districts. Eight people are currently known to have been injured.

“According to preliminary information, as a result of the attack, we are recording fires at several locations in the left-bank part of the city. We are investigating,” said Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, fires broke out in the Darnytskyi and Desnyanskyi districts. In the Darnytskyi district, windows were blown out in one residential building.Video of the day

At almost 5 a.m., Klitschko reported an increase in the number of injured: 8, three of whom were hospitalized.Read also:

“There are currently eight victims in the capital. Large fires have broken out in non-residential buildings in the Desnyansky and Darnytsky districts,” the mayor detailed.

As of 9:00 a.m., one person was reported killed in the attack on the capital. The number of injured has risen to ten, according to Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Metropolitan Military District.

“One person died as a result of the Russian attack last night. As of 9:00 AM, 10 Kyiv residents were injured to varying degrees,” he wrote on Telegram.

At 3:51 a.m., an air raid alert was sounded in the capital. “Threat of ballistic missile use from the northeast,” the Ukrainian Air Force reported at the time. And by 3:54 a.m., a series of powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv.

At the same time, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, reported that air defense was in operation in the capital, as the enemy was attacking the city with missiles.

On the night of October 22, Kyiv’s air defenses were also in operation . Throughout the night, the enemy bombed the capital with drones, and early in the morning, cruise missiles were used. As a result of that strike, airstrikes were recorded in several districts of the capital. Two people were killed and 21 others were injured , including five children.
