In several areas of the city, residential buildings were destroyed and cars burned down.

The Russian occupation army attacked the Odessa region with drones and missiles – there is no electricity and water in the regional center, many civilians are injured. As an UNIAN correspondent reports, the air alert was declared at around 3:20. Monitoring channels warned that a very large number of drones and missiles were approaching Odessa.

Soon explosions began in the city, the attack lasted several hours. Russian drones flew over residential buildings, including at low altitudes. During the attack, electricity and water went out. The head of the Odessa MVA, Serhiy Lysak, confirmed on Telegram that Odessa is under enemy attack and, according to preliminary data, there is damage to residential buildings and infrastructure.

At around 7 am, he announced that there were 6 victims known to be receiving all necessary assistance.

“There is destruction of residential buildings in several areas of the city. Cars have also burned down. All emergency and utility services are on the ground. We are clarifying the details,” Lysak emphasized.

It is not yet known how widespread the power and water outages are. There is a smell of burning in the city, and locals report that fires have broken out due to the impacts.

Eyewitnesses also write in Telegram that in the historical center of Odessa, on European Street, a hotel was damaged, which is “connected to a residential building.” It is said that a cat was saved.

Updated. 10:07.  The press service of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram clarified that two floors of a 4-story residential building burned down, the roof and glazing of two private homes, the office premises of the enterprise, and at least six cars were damaged.

Among the victims are three women aged 20–63 and four men aged 26–61. The profile data of one more person is currently being established. An investigation has been launched into the facts of war crimes (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Also, as DTEK Odessa Electric Networks reports on Facebook , as a result of enemy attacks in the Odessa region, there is damage to energy facilities. As a result, customers and critical infrastructure in the Primorsky, Khadzhibeysky and Peresypsky districts of Odessa were left without electricity. It is said that specialists are already working on eliminating the consequences, however, repairs will take time.

Updated. 09:12.  According to the press service of the Odessa City Council on Telegram , due to the night attack on Odessa, the movement of electric transport has been temporarily suspended. On some routes, trams and trolleybuses are being replaced by buses.

In particular, a bus runs on tram route No. 20 “Kherson Square – Hadzhibey Estuary”. Two social buses will be organized on trolleybus route No. 8 “Railway Station – Superphosphate Plant”, the city hall promises.

Updated. 08:18.  Later, the head of the Odessa OVA, Oleg Kiper, clarified on Telegram that at least 8 people were injured as a result of a massive combined attack.

“The enemy used several dozen missiles and drones: infrastructure and residential buildings were damaged. Odesa suffered the greatest destruction. Several residential buildings were damaged and partially destroyed in two districts. Residents’ cars were also destroyed and damaged by fire,” the official emphasized.

He noted that out of the eight wounded, doctors assess the condition of 7 as moderate. Most of the victims received shrapnel wounds.

Rescuers, medics, and utility services are working at the scene of the attacks.

The press service of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Odessa region stated that the hits caused numerous destruction and fires in several areas of the city. In particular, in the center of Odessa, a fire broke out in a 4-story residential building, and nearby cars burned. The fire was extinguished on an area of ​​1 thousand square meters, the State Emergency Service added.

Two private residential buildings were on fire at another address. “According to preliminary information, eight people were injured. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service worked at the scene,” the Facebook post reads .
