The strikes killed a woman, damaged an administrative building and dozens of houses.

The Russian occupation army attacked Kherson in the morning – in just one hour, a dozen and a half guided bombs flew over the city.  

The head of the Kherson OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported at approximately 05:20 that Russian Su-34s were entering the launch lines. In total, according to the official, there were seven enemy bombers in the sky, which inflicted a massive blow on the population. 

“In the morning, the Russians massively attacked Kherson from the air. Within an hour, about a dozen and a half aerial bombs “flew” over the city. As a result of the strikes, an administrative building and nine private houses were damaged,” Prokudin said.

He later added that at approximately 08:30, Russian troops fired artillery at the central part of Kherson. One of the strikes was on a minibus – as a result of the “arrival”, the vehicle was destroyed. A 48-year-old woman was also injured, suffering facial burns, concussion, explosive and closed craniocerebral injuries. The ambulance team took the victim to the hospital in moderate condition.

According to preliminary data, the morning airstrike damaged the administrative building and about 70 houses. It also “flew” into a high-rise building in the Central district of the city, which the Russians hit with a shell at around 10:00. As a result of this attack, apartments were destroyed, and cars parked nearby were burned.

“This hostile attack ended the life of a 74-year-old woman who was on the street… Two more Kherson residents were injured in their own homes. Assistance was provided on the spot to a 55-year-old man and an 84-year-old woman who suffered concussions, explosive and closed head injuries,” the head of the OVA noted . 

He released a video in which utility workers recorded the horrific consequences of the strikes – balconies demolished, doors broken.

Consequences of the strikes on Kherson

Later, it became known about another victim of the shelling of the Central District of Kherson. A 45-year-old man went to the hospital and was diagnosed with an explosive injury and contusion.

The Russian army constantly terrorizes Kherson, which it strikes, in particular from the temporarily occupied left bank of the Dnieper. Thus, on August 21, the occupiers attacked settlements in the Kherson region using artillery and UAVs. During the day, almost two dozen civilians were injured . The residential area of ​​Kherson was in the affected area, where about a dozen apartment buildings were damaged. As a result of the attack, a civilian died, and three police officers were among the wounded. Also, near the village of Molodizhne, the invaders dropped explosives from a drone next to an ambulance – a paramedic was injured.
