Enemy strikes claimed the lives of two railway workers.
As a result of a massive Russian drone attack on the infrastructure of Ukrzaliznytsia, rolling stock was damaged and company employees were killed, the carrier’s Telegram channel reports .
It is noted that Ukrzaliznytsia has become one of the main targets of the enemy.
“23 strikes were carried out specifically on railway facilities in the west, north and central parts of Ukraine,” the report states.

“They were not at their workplaces at the time, but the enemy is hitting indiscriminately, and one of our colleagues was injured there,” the report states.
The carrier’s energy infrastructure, bridges, passenger, wagon and locomotive depots in the Transcarpathian, Lviv, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Volyn, Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions were under enemy attacks.
“A hit to rolling stock was also recorded – three locomotives were damaged during the night,” adds Ukrzaliznytsia.
The press service of the President’s Office clarified that enemy drones also damaged 7 suburban train cars, 8 freight cars, 5 traction substations, 5 depots, and 2 bridges.
The prolonged attack also led to the delay of a number of trains.
Thus, train No. 101/102 Kharkiv-Lozova is delayed by four and a half hours. A number of other trains, according to the UZ portal, are delayed by 1.5-3 hours.
Among them are also international trains:
- Dnipro-Chelm – delay of 3:12 hours;
- Przemysl-Kyiv – delay of 2:30 hours;
- Vienna – Kyiv – delay of 1:48 hours;
- Kyiv-Budapest – delay of 1:29 hours.
