Today, May 13, Kherson and its suburbs are under combined shelling by Russian military forces – two people were killed and dozens were injured.

As reported by the press service of the Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office , since the night of May 13, the Russian army has been attacking settlements in the Kherson region with gun and rocket artillery, and drones of various types.

As of 5:30 p.m., two people were killed as a result of the Russian aggression, another 26 civilians were injured, and some victims are in serious condition.

In particular, in Nadiivka, a woman was killed and another was injured by an enemy FPV drone. In Komyshany, an elderly woman received injuries incompatible with life due to shelling by the Russian army.

“In Kherson and Komyshany, 24 more civilians suffered from the effects of the use of FPV and artillery. Nine of them were on a shuttle bus traveling through the regional center. Two more – rescuers – were hit by a drone in a service car… Police officers were also injured from Russian attacks,” the prosecutor’s office said.

In addition, private and apartment buildings, a passenger bus, and other vehicles were damaged.

A pre-trial investigation into the facts of war crimes has been initiated (Parts 1, 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The Kherson MVA also stated that today Kherson is under combined shelling by Russian occupation forces.

“Many were injured as a result of drone attacks. Due to the high activity of enemy drones, it was necessary to temporarily restrict the movement of public transport on one of the streets of the Central District,” the city administration emphasized.

It is said that the enemy also hit residential areas with artillery – one of the shells hit a high-rise building. As a result, about 20 windows were broken. A 66-year-old woman was injured, who was in the apartment at the time of the enemy strike. She is currently in the hospital with concussion, explosive and closed head injuries.

It is also noted that a 77-year-old Kherson woman was taken to the hospital, who was injured as a result of enemy shelling of the Dnipro district – she received a concussion, explosive and closed craniocerebral injuries, and a shrapnel wound to her right leg.

The Russians directed the drone at a shuttle bus belonging to the Kherson City Council’s municipal enterprise. At the time of the impact, the bus was in the central part of the city. Among the 9 victims were 75-year-old, 25-year-old, and 72-year-old men, and women 74, 60, 70, and 50 years old. The 47-year-old bus driver also sought medical attention.
