In Perm, Russia, a fire has broken out at the Proton-PM plant, which produces rocket engines. This is reported by the Exilenova+ monitoring channel .
“The Proton-PM JSC plant caught fire in Perm,” the report said.

It is noted that this is one of the key enterprises in the rocket and space and machine-building industries of the Russian Federation. It specializes in the production of rocket engines, as well as components for the aerospace and aviation industries.
The Military portal writes that the enterprise produces, in particular, the RD-191, a liquid rocket engine that powers the Angara family of rockets (the launch vehicle contributes to the implementation of Russia’s plans to expand the Rassvet satellite constellation).
The publication analyzed data from open sources and determined that the fire likely occurred in a new engine production workshop. The incident site is located more than 1,500 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
The cause of the fire and information about possible damage are currently unknown.
