Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko has released 14 political prisoners, including opposition figure Serhiy Tikhanovsky, at the request of US President Donald Trump.

This was stated by the spokeswoman for the head of Belarus, Natalia Eismont, quoted by her Telegram channel ” Pul Pervogo “, reports Censor.NET.
According to her, most of those released are not citizens of Belarus. In particular, among them are two citizens of Japan, three citizens of Poland, two citizens of Latvia, as well as citizens of Estonia, Sweden, and the United States.
The list also includes several Belarusians who have been convicted by the Lukashenko regime for “extremist and terrorist activities,” including Serhiy Tikhanovsky.
Lukashenko’s spokeswoman says that the decision to release him was made “for humanitarian reasons, with the aim of reuniting the family.”
Eismont also said that the negotiations between the Belarusian dictator and Trump’s special representative Keith Kellogg lasted six and a half hours. During the talks, “the issues of American and European sanctions against Belarus, the war in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as Belarus’ relations with Russia and China were touched upon.”
It was previously reported that, against the backdrop of US Special Representative Keith Kellogg’s visit to Alexander Lukashenko on June 21, Belarus released 14 political prisoners , including opposition figure Serhiy Tikhanovsky. He had spent more than five years behind bars.

Nothing good will come of this meeting. Kowtowing to yet another dictator to undermine Ukraine will not work.
