Ukrainian Special Operations Forces announced the complete destruction of the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal. The SSO reported this in a post on Threads .

“Sorry, but we have an official and urgent matter here: the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in Crimea no longer exists – SSO! The first one is gone. Do we need to show it?” – the SSO wrote.

Special operations forces have previously written about the destruction of the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal.

“This time, on the night of June 18, the MiddleStrike Ballista unit disabled a railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal near the settlement of Rozdolne,” the report said.

Ukraine isolates Crimea

As UNIAN previously reported, Ukraine is cutting off Crimea from the outside world, intensifying attacks on the peninsula. For several weeks now, Russians have been facing queues or fuel rationing at gas stations, and there have been reports of power outages. In addition, the tourist season in Crimea is at risk of being disrupted.

The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, called on Russians to leave Crimea “while the bridge is still standing.” “They (Russians, – ed.) have fears that the bridge may soon be destroyed. This completely coincides with what Ukrainian Defense Minister Fedorov said before,” he noted.

According to aviation expert Konstantin Kryvolap, we must prepare for the fact that it will take quite a long time to liberate Crimea , and now Ukraine must continue to strike at the peninsula until the Russians “leave on their own.” He believes that Ukraine will have enough resources to keep the Russian occupiers in Crimea tense and continue destroying their facilities.

Updated at 15:25. Later, the SSO reported that the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in occupied Crimea near the village of Rozdolne was destroyed by Middle Strike units in cooperation with underground members of the Resistance Movement on the night of June 22 and 23.

“It was a strategic military-logistical artery of the occupiers. The facility was part of a transport corridor for moving cargo, resources, and military equipment in two key directions: from the territory of the Russian Federation through Crimea – to ensure the grouping of troops in the southern direction, as well as inside the peninsula – to maintain the functioning of the Crimean military infrastructure,” the SSO said.

As a result of the drone strike, according to the military, the railway track was destroyed, and one of the spans collapsed.

“At the same time, underground members of the SSO Resistance Movement reported the arrival of special railway repair equipment to the facility. The second phase of the mission was launched. On the night of June 23, SSO drones struck both the repair equipment and the remains of the bridge again,” the Special Operations Forces noted.
