There were no injuries among the several hundred passengers.

In the Odessa region, Russian occupiers launched a targeted strike with a jet drone on a passenger train locomotive, killing the driver and assistant, said Oleksandr Pertsovsky, Chairman of the Board of Ukrzaliznytsia.
“A targeted strike by a jet fighter on a passenger train locomotive in the Odessa region… Unfortunately, I must report firsthand the most terrible thing: according to preliminary information available, this strike left no chance for our locomotive crew – the driver and assistant,” the official reported on the social network Facebook .
According to him, when the UAV threat was detected, the monitoring team sent a team to a stop – the train was entering the station for the safe evacuation of passengers. At that moment, a sharp maneuver of the Shahed jet occurred – these few minutes were not enough for the locomotive crew to completely stop and evacuate.
As Pertsovsky noted, 340 passengers and the train crew were evacuated, with no injuries among them. Currently, buses have been organized to transport passengers to Odessa.
“This is a terrible daily terror and a targeted attack on civilians. We bow our heads to the heroism of our colleagues – they died while stopping the train for safe disembarkation and rescuing their passengers,” Pertsovsky emphasized.
