BREAKING NEWS: In occupied Sevastopol, the number of public transport rides is being reduced: carriers receive only 25% of the required amount of fuel

In temporarily occupied Sevastopol, transport enterprises receive only a quarter of the required amount of fuel.

“In Sevastopol, passengers have been storming public transport that remained on the routes for several days,” the report says.

It is noted that due to the power outage, trolleybuses are running only periodically. Some bus routes have been canceled, and the intervals of movement have been increased.

Viktor Rykov, head of the Russian Union of Transport Companies in Sevastopol, said that transport companies are being allocated only a quarter of the actual amount of fuel they need. Some of them are operating from their own reserves with partial assistance from the Russian city authorities, although the cost of fuel has long exceeded the contractual calculations.

The contract stipulated 76 rubles per liter of fuel, but it had to be purchased for 145 rubles per liter. Due to the shortage, in addition to urban transportation, intercity transportation also fell by 80%.

It is reported that “Sevelektroavtotrans” cars that run on gas are refueling without a queue, while private carriers are standing in line at gas stations along with taxis and private cars.
