A small Russian missile ship of project 21631 “Buyan-M” was hit in the Sea of Azov near the temporarily occupied Crimea . This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“On August 28, 2025, as a result of a joint operation of the Department of Active Operations of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the GUR special unit “Ghosts” in the Sea of Azov near the temporarily occupied Crimea, a small missile ship of the aggressor state of Russia of project 21631 “Buyan-M” – a carrier of “Caliber” cruise missiles – was hit,” the message said.

It is noted that the fighters of the special unit of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine “Primary” damaged the ship’s radar with an air drone strike, and the special forces of the Department of Active Operations of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine attacked the side of the carrier “Caliber”.Video of the day

“As a result of the strikes, the Russian missile ship, which was in the area of potential launch of the Calibers in Temryutskaya Bay, suffered damage and was forced to leave the combat duty area,” the GUR noted.

Operations of the Ukrainian Navy

As UNIAN reported, on August 22, the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian drone base in the territory of temporarily occupied Crimea. The forces and means of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the base of the UAV “Forpost” (“Mohajer-6”) at the “Khersones” airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to preliminary data, up to three enemy unmanned aerial vehicles “Mohajer-6” and two “Forpost” drones were hit, which were used by the enemy to cover the surface situation in the Black Sea.
