BREAKING NEWS: Germany trained the Russian army in modern combat tactics on the eve of the annexation of Crimea, – Spiegel

The German publication Spiegel reported that until 2014, Germany actively cooperated with the Russian army, training its representatives in modern combat tactics and preparing the supply of high-tech equipment for training centers.

According to journalists, German instructors were training Russian soldiers at the combat training center in Altmark, created by the Bundeswehr after the withdrawal of Soviet troops, reports Censor.NET .

This center used laser training equipment, Duel Simulator systems, and urban combat models that allowed for the simulation of real-life clashes without the use of live ammunition.

In 2011, at the initiative of Vladimir Putin, a network of similar training grounds was planned in Russia, including in Mulino. Rheinmetall was to supply equipment worth up to 1 billion euros.

Despite reservations from some German officials, the government in Berlin supported the project, hoping to improve relations and “build trust” between the armies of the two countries.

The cooperation continued until the annexation of Crimea in 2014, after which the German authorities revoked export licenses, and Rheinmetall officially distanced itself from the deal, stating that it had been concluded under political pressure.

I believe Rheinmetall. After all, Merkel was chancellor during this time period. It doesn’t take a genius to guess who was the “bad guy” in this.
