BREAKING NEWS: Former “mayor” killed in explosion in occupied Luhansk, media reports

Manolis Pilavov has been wanted by the SBU since 2015 under three “serious” articles.

A car exploded in occupied Luhansk on July 3. There are reports of dead and injured. According to Russian media, one of the dead is Manolis Pilavov, who was appointed “mayor” of the city after the occupation of Luhansk by the Russian army.

Local media reported that the explosion occurred near the local history museum on Tarasa Shevchenko Street, where an exhibition was to be opened. According to some reports, the car carrying Manolis Pilavov, the so-called “mayor” of the city who headed the occupation administration from 2014 to 2023, exploded. He was killed and three other people were injured.

He has been wanted by the SBU since 2015. He was charged with three articles: actions aimed at violently changing or overthrowing the constitutional order (seizure of state power); encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine; and creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization.

  1. Off topic: Putin will phone Trump today………no doubt to gratulate him, with his decision to stop arming Ukraine and lifting of sanctions against Russia, and press Trump to do the EU the same things.
