At least five grain tankers were attacked by Ukrainian drones on August 17 and 18 near the Russian ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse.

As Censor.NET reports , this is stated in the Bloomberg article .
Previously, Ukrainian military forces had mainly attacked tankers carrying Russian oil . Now, ships arriving for grain have also begun to come under attack.
Five ships were hit
According to Bloomberg sources, one dry cargo ship was attacked on August 17, and four more on August 18.
The ships sailed under the flags of:
- Liberia;
- Malta;
- Marshall Islands;
- Russia;
- San Marino.
On August 17, the Greek bulk carrier Anna S, which was heading to Novorossiysk, caught fire after a drone attack. As a result, the vessel was unable to continue its journey.
“One dry cargo ship was attacked on Monday, four more on Tuesday,” sources told Bloomberg.
On August 18, two ships that were hit after loading were able to continue their voyages. Two more ships were hit while preparing to load: one near Novorossiysk, the other near Tuapse.
Last week, Russian agricultural exports were halted by strikes on three terminals at the port, which account for more than 40% of total grain exports .
It was previously reported that Russia has deployed two warships from the Northern Fleet to the Baltic Sea – the frigate Admiral Kasatonov and the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Levchenko. Poland believes that one of the tasks of such a grouping may be to cover the Russian “shadow fleet”, with the help of which Moscow circumvents Western sanctions. Its time for the grain cargo ships bingo card!
I don’t think we should be hitting ships full of grain unless its stolen Ukrainian grain. Hitting a food supply is a war crime. Now the Moskali can say “both sides” are doing it.
