Strikes on Russian territory are being carried out because “the Russian leader wants to fight.”

At night, Ukrainian drones struck the arsenals of the Russian Navy (Navy) and the base in Kronstadt, as well as an oil depot in the Kuban.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky. “Last night, our drones covered a distance of about 1,000 kilometers to the St. Petersburg region – to the enemy’s naval arsenals and the base in Kronstadt. And our long-range sanctions covered about 500 kilometers to the Krasnodar region and hit an oil depot,” the president noted.

He added that this attack is the result of joint work of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Main Intelligence Directorate.

Zelensky explained that strikes on Russian territory are being carried out because “the Russian leader wants to fight.”

“That’s why Ukrainian sanctions are working for this aggression,” the head of state emphasized.

“Russia needs to end its war and stop the attacks on life. Any manifestations of injustice against Ukraine will have a fair response. Thank you to our soldiers for their accuracy,” he concluded.

In addition, as added by the Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Deep Strike units of the SFO, together with the SBS and the SBU, struck the Kronstadt naval base of the Russian Baltic Fleet, located near St. Petersburg.

“Several SSR drones successfully reached their targets. A fire was recorded on the territory of the base,” the report says.

The SSO noted that this base, which is a symbol of the Russian Navy and a strategic element of the enemy’s war machine, houses warships, submarines, training centers, repair docks, and shipbuilding facilities.

“After Ukraine destroyed part of Russia’s capabilities in the Black Sea, the importance of Kronstadt in ensuring the enemy’s military potential has significantly increased. But now it’s the turn of one of the oldest naval bases of the Russian Federation to burn,” the SSO emphasized.

Strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation

As UNIAN reported, on May 31, an oil refinery in Saratov caught fire after a drone visit. This plant supplies fuel to the Russian occupation forces.

And this morning it became known that Ukrainian drones attacked a number of targets both in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. As a result of a drone strike, for example, the seaport in Mariupol is burning. The pillar of wonder is visible from all over the city.
