At least 5 explosions were heard in Novomoskovsk, Tula Oblast, on Sunday night, June 8. The Russians claim a drone strike on the Azot chemical industry plant.

This is reported by Russian Telegram channels, Censor.NET reports.

Local residents reportedly heard five to eight explosions. Telegram channels are sharing photos and videos showing the fire.

The Azot plant in the Tula region of the Russian Federation is the largest Russian producer of ammonia and nitrogen fertilizers, as well as one of the leaders in the industry in terms of types and quantities of products produced.

Some of the chemicals produced here can be used for military purposes, in particular for the production of rocket fuel and explosives.

It was previously reported that on Saturday, June 7, a fire broke out at a bitumen plant near the Lukoil oil refinery in the Nizhny Novgorod region of Russia.
