One of Russia’s largest refineries was also affected.

 On the night of October 4, the defense forces struck a number of important facilities of the aggressor country, in particular, one of the largest Russian oil refineries and a missile ship were damaged . This is stated in a statement by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine .

“A small missile ship “Buyan-M” was damaged in the area of ​​Lake Onega (Republic of Karelia, Russian Federation). The extent of the damage is being determined,” the report says.

It is also noted that the Kirishi Oil Refinery (Kirishi, Leningrad Region) was hit, with explosions and a fire recorded there.

This refinery is one of the largest in the territory of the aggressor country, with an annual capacity of 18.4 million tons of oil processing per year.

The Defense Forces also struck the “Harmony” radar complex and a transport-loading vehicle from the “Iskander” OTRK warehouse in the Kursk region.

“A strike was also carried out on the command post of the 8th army of the enemy armed forces, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region. The target was hit. The results are being clarified,” the General Staff reported.

The work of Ukrainian drones

In late September, Ukrainian servicemen shot down a Russian Mi-28 helicopter with an FPV drone . 

Earlier, GUR fighters in temporarily occupied Crimea  burned two rare Russian Be-12 Chaika amphibious aircraft for the first time in history.  They were equipped with valuable equipment for detecting and combating submarines.

On September 24, Ukrainian naval drones and UAVs attacked Russian Black Sea ports. Russian media reported an attack on Novorossiysk, where, in particular, missile carriers of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have been relocated, and  the port of Tuapse .
