BREAKING NEWS: Daylight 2e attack in Odessa: three killed, five injured, city declared a day of mourning (updated)

Three people were killed and three more were injured as a result of a daytime attack by occupiers on Odessa.

According to the head of the city military administration, Sergei Lysak, all victims are receiving the necessary assistance.

The search and rescue operation continues.

He noted that the enemy had struck infrastructure facilities. All relevant services are on the ground.

The attack reportedly caused power outages for residents in parts of Primorsky and Peresypsky districts.

UPDATED at 5:11 PM. As Regional State Administration Head Oleh Kiper added, the enemy attacked a civilian facility. The shelling resulted in equipment fires and damage to a gas main.

Regional police clarified that five people, including a child, were injured.

The Odesa City Hall announced that July 21 has been declared a day of mourning to honor the memory of the victims. The national flag and the Odesa flag, with mourning ribbons, will be flown at half-mast on buildings.

City businesses, institutions, and organizations are advised to limit the use of music and entertainment events.
