There are people left in the city, they don’t want to evacuate.

Bodies of the dead and murdered are lying on the streets of Russian-occupied Oleshki, Kherson region, and they are not being cleaned up. This was told to an UNIAN correspondent by residents of the city who were evacuated to territory controlled by Ukraine.
Evacuees, the vast majority of whom are Ukrainian speakers, say that since May, food deliveries to Oleshki have completely stopped. Those who had gardens ate some vegetables, while the rest boiled grass.
There was no occupation authority in the city, and Russian soldiers occasionally came to “give the population nightmares.” At the same time, the occupiers were afraid of Ukrainian drones that were hunting them.
Only the hospital was operational, but serious illnesses and injuries were not treated there – there was nothing to do. The bodies of the dead and murdered lie in the streets, they are not being cleaned up.
People say that there are still several thousand people left in the city who did not want to evacuate. Among them are children. We are talking about 2 – 4.5 thousand people.
In addition, in a comment to journalists, one of the women said that people in Oleshki still had hope for evacuation. However, they still did not want to leave their homes. She and her family started planting a garden and tried to run a household. In particular, they kept chickens.
They also worked “on a shoestring,” because they didn’t have Russian documents, so they couldn’t get any jobs. However, later the situation worsened, in particular, there were no more chickens.
