Today, in several regions of the Russian Federation, as well as in the temporarily occupied Crimea, hundreds of thousands of users were left without power . In some regions, explosions were heard.
As reported by the Telegram channel ASTRA, two of the three power units at the Gusinoozerskaya GRES in Buryatia were turned off, which led to a power outage for 115 thousand users. Local residents said that before the power outage, a powerful explosion thundered at the GRES, and smoke was billowing from the territory of the enterprise.
Information has recently emerged that the automatic protection system at the Rostov Nuclear Power Plant has shut down one of the power units. The authorities of the terrorist country have stated that the cause is a malfunction in the turbogenerator.
“The radiation background remains normal, Rosatom reported. Due to a failure in the south of Russia, a 1.5 GW power consumption limit has been introduced,” local publics report.

In addition, residents in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol were left without power. The city introduced power outage schedules “due to overload of the electrical network.”
Subsequently, Sevastopolenergo announced that “until the load is reduced” power will also be disconnected in Yalta, Alushta, Feodosia, Kerch, Sudak and other populated areas of occupied Crimea.
Due to the lack of electricity in Sevastopol, traffic lights are not working and trolleybuses and other vehicles are stuck in a traffic jam in the center.

There are also complaints about the lack of electricity in Krasnodar. More than 100 electrical substations were disconnected there, due to which about 150 traffic lights are not working. A number of streets were left without electricity.
“Power supply problems in the south of Russia began due to the activation of a protective mechanism at the Rostov NPP, as a result of which one of the power units of the station was switched off. The press service of the Rostov NPP reported that the protection system worked as expected,” Telegram channels write.
Propaganda media also stated that the power outages in Crimea were connected to “abnormal heat.”
