“They’re Celebrating in Moscow”: Republican Criticizes Trump’s Vice President

At least some pro-Ukrainian Republicans are frankly not thrilled with Trump’s choice of deputy.

Donald Trump’s decision to nominate Senator James Dee Vance as his vice president has sparked celebrations in Moscow, former Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger told The Hill .

“They are celebrating this election both in Milwaukee [at the Republican National Convention] tonight and in Moscow. J.D. Vance is someone who… has been very vocal about not caring what happens in Ukraine. He has been against aid to Ukraine,” Kinzinger said Monday.

A former member of Congress who is a vocal advocate for Ukraine’s defense noted that citizens of the war-torn country are “in the trenches together” and hardly “have anything in common other than standing together to defend their country.”

“And all we have to do is help fund it. We’re not even at war. And J.D. Vance is aggressively parroting the real Russian bullshit,” Kinzinger continued.

Trump made a “terrible choice” to be his running mate in the November election, he said. Kinzinger recalled that Vance had once spoken out aggressively against Trump and suddenly became his biggest supporter.

“He has no moral soul, no center. And how can you love Russia and what they are doing in Ukraine, I don’t understand. I think it was a terrible choice for a president,” says the pro-Ukrainian Republican.

Trump has chosen his vice president

In the United States, presidential candidates run for office with a running mate, who will serve as vice president and, if necessary, will act as president if the president steps down.

As UNIAN reported, Trump’s chosen running mate James D. Vance has repeatedly spoken out in favor of stopping American aid to Ukraine. In particular, he openly admitted that he doesn’t care about the fate of Ukraine and is more interested in Taiwan.
