US President Joe Biden says he hopes to see Ukrainian refugees during his visit to Poland on Friday, March 25.

He said this at a press conference in Brussels.

“I plan to try to see these people and I hope I can see,” he said.

The President did not specify where exactly the meeting is planned.

“I guess I shouldn’t say exactly where I’m going, should I. I hope I see a lot of people,” he added.

Biden also said visiting the refugees would reinforce his view that the US must take serious action to help resettle those forced to move as a result of the war.

“I’ve been in refugee camps. I’ve been in war zones for the last 15 years. And it’s… It’s devastating. You pay the most attention to the little kids who are in those camps,” he said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on Friday, March 25, Joe Biden will visit Poland. The exact details of his visit there are carefully hidden for security reasons.

Earlier, the White House said that US President Joe Biden  would visit Poland this week to discuss Ukraine.

“The presidents will discuss how the United States, along with allies and partners, is responding to the humanitarian and human rights crisis caused by Russia’s unjustified and unprovoked war against Ukraine,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said.
