The White House is not ready to assess these events until Kyiv presents its own vision.
Washington is still trying to understand the purpose of the Ukrainian operation in the Kursk region , for which it continues to communicate with Kyiv. This was reported by White House National Security Advisor John Kirby during a conversation with journalists, Voice of America reports.
“We are in contact with our Ukrainian counterparts and working to better understand what they are doing, what their goals are, what their strategy is,” Kirby said.

“I would hold off on describing what’s going on there on the battlefield until those conversations [with Kyiv] are complete and we feel like we have a better idea of what exactly they’re doing,” the White House official said.
At the same time, Kirby noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not yet violated the restrictions on the use of American weapons previously imposed by the Biden administration.
“They’re using it in an area where we’ve previously said they could use U.S. weapons for cross-border strikes. The end goal here is to help Ukraine defend itself, and we’ll just see what Ukraine says about that,” Kirby said.

God forbid if Ukraine released the handcuffs placed on them, the jellyfish would have a seizure. Instead of acting like a bunch of spineless cowards, it would have been nice of Kirby and Sullivan to say Ukraine can use whatever it has to kill the orcs.
