Explosions were heard in Penza, Russia, on July 1. After them, locals saw smoke above the building of one of the enterprises.
The fire probably broke out at the state-owned Penza Bearing Plant. Details are reported by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.
What is known
Around 7 a.m., Exilenova+ noted that residents of Penza began reporting “an attack and, apparently, an arrival.”
The Russians also posted footage of smoke above one of the city’s enterprises.

“Locals report that a state-owned bearing factory was attacked,” the channel added.

Over time, the fire slowly spread, Exilenovа+ added.

The news is being supplemented.

This plant does not produce high-precision bearings, only a small handful of countries are capable of doing so. However, even lower quality of bearings are vital to a war effort.
I think attack is a first on such a plant.
