Trump’s speech was presented as if he was inciting riots on Capitol Hill
The BBC “edited” a speech by US President Donald Trump and presented it as if he was inciting Americans to riot on Capitol Hill, The Telegraph reports, citing an internal memo seen by the publication.
The publication claims that the Panorama program, which aired a week before the US election, “completely misled viewers.” It showed Trump allegedly telling supporters that he would “go with them to the Capitol to fight with all his might.”
It is noted that in fact, the current US president then said that he would go with them “to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.”
The “distorted” footage was highlighted in a 19-page dossier on BBC bias, compiled by a former member of the corporation’s editorial standards committee, which is now said to be circulating within government departments.
The document claims that the program made the US president “say” something he did not say by combining the beginning of his speech with a phrase he said almost an hour later.
The publication notes that the report contains information that senior management and the head of the BBC ignored a series of serious complaints filed by the corporation’s own oversight body.
The president’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., accused the BBC of dishonesty and “fake news.”
It is noteworthy that the publication plans to publish other excerpts from the memorandum soon. In them, BBC Arabic is accused of bias in its coverage of the war in Gaza, and the corporation is accused of “de facto censorship” of the discussion on transgender issues.

The Telegraph supports the Conservative Party and sees it as its duty to expose BBC bias. For example it has just now provided compelling evidence that the BBC manipulated news reports to favour Hamas.
Since the early 1960’s the BBC has been the unofficial outlet of the Labour Party. It always tries to insert a Labour PM and often succeeds.
In the early 60’s there were only two TV channels : BBC (public sector broadcasting) and ITV (commercial channel).
The BBC had a comedy series called Steptoe and Son, which was immensely popular with Labour Voters. It had 24 million viewers. Prior to the 1964 General Election, the Labour leader; Harold Wilson, noticed that a Steptoe episode was due to be broadcast on the evening of the election when voters would be returning from work to watch it. He asked (ordered?) the BBC to delay the broadcast until the polls had closed; giving time for Steptoe fans to cast their vote.
Wilson subsequently became PM as a result of this maneuver and history was changed. The UK became a socialist welfare state and despite the efforts of returning Tory governments to reverse it, has remained so.
We have a socialist government right now. However, the one thing it has got right is its policy towards Ukraine. Only Germany provides more military support than the UK, which provides $6.5 billion/yr, including the important Storm Shadows. Germany is on $9.5 billion.
Even notorious cheapskate Spain (run by hard leftists) is providing $1 billion in military aid to Ukraine in 2025.
The U.S. in 2025 (from Trump) : zero.
Pledged in 2026 : $500m, only slightly more than tiny Lithuania. Now that is taking the piss.
It’s crap like this that lites a fire for MAGA and makes independents wonder where truth ends and fiction begins. It’s not only wrong, it’s despicable that a major media outlet would just outright lie. No wonder people can not trust “lame street” media anymore. It’s a sad day for the honorable journalists who try to report facts, only to get tainted by such stories of abuse.
