Attack on the port of Kavkaz: the General Staff reported the defeat of an important target

The occupiers used the ferry for military transport.

The Defense Forces hit the occupiers’ ferry in the port of ” Kavkaz “. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

It is noted that the group of forces and assets of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, together with units of other components of the Defense Forces, inflicted significant damage on the enemy ferry Slavyanin in the port of Kavkaz.

“The occupiers used this ferry to transport railway cars, vehicles and containers for military purposes. “Slavyanin” is the third and last railway ferry that the Russian Federation had in the specified region. We continue to destroy the enemy, its equipment and military infrastructure,” the General Staff added.

Attack on the port of Kavkaz: what is known

On the night of July 23, information appeared in Russian publics about the sounds of explosions in the area of the port of Kavkaz in Krasnodar Krai. Later, it was reported that after the attack, ambulances and fire trucks were driving towards the port of Kavkaz.

Subsequently, information appeared in the media that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had hit another ferry across the Kerch Strait. At first, this became known from unofficial sources. According to them, the attack was carried out today, July 23, at night on the port of Kavkaz, which is located on the Russian shore of the strait.

By the way, this is not the first strike of the Defense Forces on the port of Kavkaz. In particular, at the end of May it became known that Ukrainian soldiers hit the ferry crossing and oil terminal of the port of Kavkaz.
