“As of now, Russian rescuers have an acute shortage of foaming agents to extinguish oil and fuel fires. Consequently, firefighters are forced to monitor fuel burnout.”
This means any future attacks could be even more devastating.
Does monitor fuel burnout, mean we can do sweet FA about it?
The only thing for them left to do is spray water on the fires, which won’t help very much.
I think spraying water on an oil fire is a great idea. 😂
No, spraying the surrounding area to prevent it from spreading. There is no way such a huge oil fire can be put out with water alone. It evaporates too fast.
I was being a little sarcastic. 😉 When water is used on an oil fire the water sinks to the bottom, superheats and generates a lot of steam. This sends small droplets of super heated oil into the air.
I know. My additional info was for others. 😉
